Delivery and Collection Terms
These draft terms are intended to explain how Spalding Firewood Limited confirms quantities, delivery, safe tipping and collection. They are incomplete until the owner approves the operational and payment policies.
Order confirmation and approximate quantities
A website enquiry is not a confirmed order. The business will confirm the product, quantity, measurement basis, total price, payment method, availability and agreed delivery or collection arrangement.
Full, half and bag quantities currently use approximate volume descriptions. The final terms must define how each sale quantity is measured and distinguish loose from stacked volume where relevant.
Access and safe tipping
The customer must give accurate access information and identify a safe drop point. Relevant restrictions include width, ground conditions, slopes, overhead obstructions, parked vehicles and turning space.
The driver must not proceed where access or tipping would be unsafe. Loose logs are left at the agreed tipping point. Moving or stacking is not included unless expressly agreed.
Changes, postponement and failed delivery
Weather, unsafe ground, blocked access, vehicle issues or other practical conditions may require a change. The final policy must state how notice is given, when either party may rearrange or cancel and whether a failed-delivery charge applies.
Collection, payment and cancellation
Collection is by prior arrangement from the Weston Hills HQ. The customer must confirm the product, time and a suitable vehicle before travelling.
Accepted payment methods, payment timing, consumer cancellation rights, perishable or bespoke exceptions if any, refunds and business-order terms must be approved and inserted before these terms are published.
